Physical Education

Physical education is a course taken during primary and secondary education that encourages psychomotor learning in a play or movement exploration setting. The term physical education is most commonly used to denote they have participated in the subject area rather than studied it.

Physical education is conduct through instructions in various kinds of physical activity to promote the physical development and well-being of the individual. Physical education is generally taught in the U.S. schools from kindergarten through college and involves organized sports, gymnastics, dance, aquatics, and calisthenics. Games that foster competition and stimulate play behaviour are often used as means of enabling students to understand and practice specific physical skills so that a high level of fitness can be maintained.
